Grover Gibson was born in Fairfax, Virginia and grew up playing soccer in Virginia. A 2 time Parade-All American along with representing the U.S. at the U17 and U20 National Team levels. Gibson signed his first professional contract after high school with VfB Stuttgart U-18. He continued his career in Germany playing professional soccer for 13 years, playing around 250 games and scoring over 20 goals, before retiring due to a serious eye injury. His last club was Rot-Weiss Ahlen in the 2. Bundesliga, where he played 30 matches and scored six goals.
After returning to the states he founded the Grover Gibson Soccer Foundation a professional training environment for dedicated youth soccer players located in and around the Fredericksburg area. The Grover Gibson Soccer Foundation was also instrumental in supporting Men's & Women's Soccer in the Fredericksburg Region at the PDL, NPSL, WPSL & CCLPro23 Levels. The NPSL Program went on to win 1 National Championship, 1 Regional Championship and 3 Conference Championships. Gibson went on to coach in the US Open Cup in 2014, 2015 & 2016.
In addition, Gibson advocated to establish Futsal to the Fredericksburg Region, where players and teams have competed at Regional & National Level competition. Fredericksburg currently has one of the largest and most successful Futsal programs in the state.
Gibson has overseen hundreds of players including players that have been developed to play at the Professional, D1 Collegiate, Youth & Senior National Team Levels.
His true passion is to help players understand the commitment, passion and sacrifice that is needed to reach their maximum potential.
Gibson is currently the Executive Director and President of the Board for Fredericksburg FC, along with coaching the U14 & U15 Girls Teams and U19 & CCLPro23 Men's Teams at FFC.
